Measurements of hydrodynamic diameter, rheology and zeta potential demonstrated that xanthans behave like polyelectrolytes that undergo different levels of aggregation in solution, at two critical concentrations, named overlap concentration (c* ≈ 0.1 g/L) and aggregation concentration (c** ≈ 0.75 g/L). Until c*, xanthans suffer a sharp aggregation, which is stabilized between c* and c** critical concentrations. Above c**, they form 3D molecular tangles

Sisal fibers were covered with lignosulfonate and used as reinforcement in fiber cement composites. The preparation of composites was done simulating the Hatschek process. The physical and morphological properties of the composites were evaluated. The proposed treatment was effective in improving the performance of fiber cement composites

This work describes the potential of LASSBio-1587, an N-acylhydrazone, to attenuate the nociception and inflammation in mice using the following methodologies: acetic acid induced abdominal writhing test, formalin test and migration of leukocytes in the peritoneal cavity. It was observed that this molecule presents antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory activity
